Family, Friends & Pinot Noir

We're wrapping up the year on a high note with an exciting double whammy, the first being Wine Spectator naming Burn Cottage Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018 as one of the Top 100 Wines of 2021 (selected from over 12 000 wines tasted in 2021) and then James Suckling naming Burn Cottage Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019 & Burn Cottage Moonlight Race Pinot Noir 2019 in his Top 100 NZ wines of 2021.

We are absolutely stoked to have had our wines selected and It really brings home what an amazing part of the World central Otago is for growing Pinot Noir and how New Zealand continues to grow in recognition on a local and global scale for this fabulous grape variety. It also can't go by without saying that we must recognize all the hard work that Shane & the vineyard team, alongside Claire and the winery crew put into crafting our wines. A true team effort.

One of the joys of being based in Chicago is that we also get to have a roast turkey dinner double whammy as US thanksgiving and Christmas day are relatively close together… Family, friends, a big roast dinner and of course a bottle or two of Pinot Noir are a magical combination.
 
Thank you for all your support in 2021… have a wonderful Christmas and here’s to raising a glass over the festive season and welcoming in 2022.
