We were humbled to receive the ultimate compliment ahead of this release. Erin Larkin from The Wine Advocate visited us, tasted the Sauvage Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021 with our winemaker Claire, and shared this glowing feedback…

When we first saw this 6ha vineyard on Felton Rd in Bannockburn, our gut feeling was that if we didn’t buy it, we would forever be burdened with buyer’s remorse.
As it’s turned out our instincts were right, and this unique site, is delivering us Pinot Noir with complexity, opulence, richness and concentrated black plum, cherry and spice flavours. All the benchmarks of Bannockburn Pinot Noir with cellaring potential (10+ years).

Our other release, comes from the tiny parcels of Riesling and Gruner Veltliner we have planted, in the higher elevations of the Burn Cottage Vineyard in Lowburn.
It is dry in style, and combines the ripe stone fruit/ savoury character and richness of Gruner Veltliner, that is complimented by the lively freshness of lemon/lime and ginger from the Riesling.
It's a stunning match with the likes of slow roasted pork, pan seared scallops with a splash of citrus or just simply with a cheese platter at the end of a busy day.
